Delicious Agenda Create a Delicious Account Install buttons on your IE browser Bookmark a website Add Tags and Notes Create a network with your classmates Subscriptions Find any media type, i.e. audio, video, image or document

Create Delicious Account Need a unique user name with at least six characters Password with at least one letter and one symbol Full Name Email Address

Bookmarks A URL is simply the address of the web page you are bookmarking Use your browser add-on toolbar button to tag your web page Example: Bookmark http://web20intheknow.com

Tags Your bookmarks can either be private or public at this time Tags are one word descriptors that you can assign to your bookmarks to help you organize and remember them Think of them as KEYWORDS

Tags Continued Can rename Do not form a hierarchy Flexible Choose yourself No spaces allowed, i.e. Kansas City Bundle tags, i.e. fish, dogs, and cats into “pets”

Special Tags You may search bookmarks by media type: audio, video, image, and documents Audio as system:media:audio or system:filetype:mp3 or wav Video as system:media:video or system:filetype:mpg or mpeg or wmv or mov

Special Tags (2) Image bookmarks as system:media:image or system:filetype:jpg or jpeg or gif or png Document bookmarks as system:media:document or system:filetype:doc or pdf

Networks Your NETWORK connects you to the other delicious users such as coworkers, friends, family, educators, etc. Share your bookmarks and collect from your favorite users’ latest bookmarks

Networks Continued To ADD people to your network, select Add a user from the top right of your network page and type their username Or…visit their bookmark page and select add user to my network Example, rwb59b (Rob’s username)

Subscriptions Subscriptions allow you to watch all your favorite tags in one place “Tag aggregator” Visit your Subscriptions page and click “Add a subscription” Can narrow your subscriptions to specific users
