Creation of Apple ID Ages 13 or over

Two possibilities ●Use an Apple ID that a student has created with their parents prior ●Create an Apple ID using student email account (these steps show how to set up without credit card)

Use Filewave to start account creation ●click on filewave ●click install software ●choose iBooks

Create account It will prompt you to either Use Existing Apple ID or to Create a New Apple ID Choose Create New Apple ID

Create account Creating a New Apple ID: Use your ISS student email as the email address. Password requires at least 8 characters including at least 1 Capital Letter and a number. (Some users were finding they needed 3 numbers.) Apple is picky about passwords and will tell you if your password isn’t secure enough. (This is the password that you will have to enter whenever you download an app.) You must choose and answer 3 security questions. You will also have to enter your actual birthdate. (We have seen people who entered a phony date, and then when they needed assistance with the account, they couldn’t remember the date they entered, so they were unable to manage the account.)

Create account Payment Information: Choose none for credit card. Billing Information: You have to enter name and address, but you can enter the school address and phone number. itunes subscriptions and emails - your choice as to leave them on or off.

Create account You will be prompted to verify the account through your email Go to your email Find the email from Apple Click the blue words Verify Account You will enter your Apple ID (your ISS email address) Password is the password you just set up

Create account You will need to go back to the App store to complete the download iBooks It won’t successfully install until the Apple ID was created.
