Who is CSM ? CSM, Chantiers Sociaux Marocains, is a non profit NGO, founded in 1963. CSM is a national association, with 45 sections all around Morocco CSM is the Moroccan national committee of ICYE International Cultural Youth Exchange. CSM aims to: To promote volunteer activities for young people; To promote community development and encourage participation of community members in activities for their own benefit; To create opportunities to exchange experiences between youth from different parts of the country and the rest of the world; To promote international understanding through voluntary service; To enable young people to encounter and understand different cultures; To encourage the concept of voluntary service as a force in building peace equality, democracy and international understanding;

CSM Programs Short term projects. LTV – MTV. EVS Hosting and sending projects. ICYE STPEs and long term program Summer School program Cultural projects ( Arabic language, Trekking, Pottery, local festival …) Development projects in the regions.

CSM 2013 Statistics 100 Short term projects. 500 volunteers coming from the 4 continents for the short term Projects (April to Dec 2013) 25 volunteers for Mid and Long term projects 20 volunteers for Short period and Steeps

CSM Organisationnel and Financial Management Chalenges 1- Development and recognition of Volunteeringin in Morocco 2- fulfillment of all our local groups and local population expectations 3- develop the CSM brand in and outside Morocco 4- Maintain financial stability 5- The involvement of CSM to meet the goals and expectations of our Arabic spring 6- Open more our youth exchange

1- Development and recognition of Volunteeringin in Morocco a-Implementation of new projects, they relate to five types Education / Health / Human Right / Elderly / Disabled People b-Create a group of associations to conduct advocacy with government and international organizations in Morocco about recognation of volunteerism b-Organize Training courses about volunteerism c-Increase the number of coming volunteers 2- fulfillment of all our local groups and local population expectations a - Good Orientation, involvement in the management of CSM b - Try to satisfy the local population expectations trough the local groups projects (INDH) c – Increase the number of our short term program and activities 3- develop the CSM brand in and outside Morocco a – Quality, Credibility,

Following 4- Maintain financial stability -Confidence in CSM by local partners -Diversification of funding sources -Implementation of projects based on the direct involvement of partners at different stages -Streamlining Finance 5- Meet the goals and expectations of our Arabic spring CSM is part of the Arab Spring movement, our challenges are: -Contribute to the implementation of the new constitution -Support of the local population for a reale participation and contribution in the future of the nation 6- Open more our youth exchange - Try to send more moroccan volunteers
