3 General Registration Timeline February- receive directions for course registration/course selection guide. Your course requests are due by March 6 th at Registrar’s Office. August – receive your schedules online and window of opportunity to make adjustments. Schedule changes are limited once school starts. *FRESHMEN ORIENTATION IN AUGUST *

11 Physical Education and Health PE OPTIONS: PE 9 (.50 Credit) Health OPTIONS: Health 1 (.50 Credit)

12 World Languages OPTIONS: - Spanish - French - German - Arabic - Latin - Mandarin Chinese ( through LE contract )

14 HOW TO REQUEST COURSES Fill out the Course Registration Form – handout Choose core courses (including World Language) Choose electives You must have at least 6.0 credits on your schedule, we recommend at least 7.0 credits. Due March 6 th at Registrar’s Office

15 Typical Daily Schedule for 9 th Grade 6.0 credits required at a minimum, 7.0 credits recommended.

16 Graduation Requirement Specific Topics 22.5 Credits are required to graduate from High School, however, there are some special considerations. 1. Colleges Have Different Requirements  World Language – typically 2 yrs. required, but 3 or more recommended for 4 yr. colleges.  Math ?  Science ?  Fine Arts ? 2. Requirements For NCAA – 16 Core Course Rule for Division I & II (NCAA.org)

20 Remember Talk over your course selection with your parents/guardians. Remember, you are building your high school transcript which will be used for college, job, military and scholarship opportunities. Grades count! Get Involved In clubs, sports and activities.
