Keep the focus on teaching and learning, not the technology (teachers and students will learn that anyway). Have a range of teachers leading the implementation, maintenance and ongoing evaluation - the experienced teachers, those who are great at teaching anyway as they know what works with students. The best leaders of the Ultranet are not necessarily the tech heads who want to always go off and try the latest, different thing. The young and enthusiastic teachers also can get a chance to shine, share and contribute. Scaffold, scaffold, scaffold - keep the focus on teaching and learning... FUSE - Digital Library of the Ultranet, ebookboxes, templates. Multi-pronged approach - don't just wait for the teachers to get on board. Make sure students are empowered and provided access from day 1 no matter who their teacher is (templates).
