8  The basic unit of the DNA molecule is called: NUCLEOTIDE

9 A NUCLEOTIDE in DNA has three parts:  A ring-shaped sugar called deoxyribose  A phosphate group  A nitrogenous base (single or double ring of carbon and nitrogen atoms)
