2  In 1961 MIT student Steve Russell made the first video game, called spacewars.  In 1962 Atari founder Nolan Bushnell sees Spacewars and wants to make computer games.  In 1972Bushnell founded Atari and created Pong, a ping-pong game on an arcade system.  In 1979 game company Namco releases the most popular arcade game of all time Pac-man.  In 1981 Nintendo releases Donkey Kong.  From 1982-1984 the Great Crash occurred, because of stock drops, and sales of video games weren't high because there were too many games out.

3  In 1983 Nintendo releases the Famicon, a home video game console  In 1985 the success of Famicon in America, made Sega create its own console Sega master  From ‘85-93 video games amasses great success and many game companies realeased follows ups on their consoles  In 1993 3D graphics were used for the first time on a video game called StarFox.  In 1995 2 of the brand new consoles are introduced the the n64, and Sony Playstation  In 1998 Sega release the Dreamcast, which sets the standard for games, with the use a “realistic 3D graphics”  In 2000 Sony release the Playstation 2, while Nintendo release the Gamecube and Microsoft shows its new system.  All Systems receive great success, but the playstation 2 gets the most console sales.

4  In 2005 Microsoft releases the Xbox 360, while Sony and Nintendo are still in development.  In 2006 Nintendo and Sony release their systems, Nintendo goes a different approach than Microsoft and Sony.
