10 10 NAWIC Secretary After the Meeting Action Minutes “What was done at the meeting – not what was said” Should Not – record complete details and personal comments from the discussions. IT IS NOT A TRANSCRIPT OF THE MEETING!

12 12 NAWIC Secretary After the Meeting -Minutes should be typed up ASAP after the meeting -Send to President (and/or audit committee if your chapter has one) for review -Reviewed minutes should be distributed to the members per your chapter tradition (published, emailed or handed out at meeting).

13 13 NAWIC Secretary Approved Minutes -Must be signed by both the Secretary and President -Corrections: -Record date, page and line – in the minutes of the meeting in which the correction was made. -Hand write the correction in the margin of the minutes being corrected, noting the date and initial it. -Approved minutes should never be tampered with (Official Record of Chapter’s activities) -Copy to Director!!
