Compound Complex Sentences A compound complex sentence consists of two independent clauses and one dependent clause.

In the following slides: Determine which are the independent clauses and which are the dependent clauses.

Elbow partner work Create 5 compound complex sentences. Have one partner write them on notebook paper. Sentence strips in groups. Put one independent clause on one strip, put the other independent clause on another strip. Put the dependent clause on the last strip.
