5 Project Updates and Accomplishments since January  All 8 States have submitted contracts and invoices  All states should have received their fist check  Distributed minutes from January Meeting  South Carolina and North Carolina have completed their surveys  Collect 1200 surveys this year- ◦ complete as of 3/2/14- 472 5

6 Project Updates and Accomplishments since January  State Demographic Sheet for each state self advocacy organizations/groups have been completed  Met with one state team-Arkansas  Spoke with UCEDD representative Carol Rabideau Vanderbilt University in Nashville TN. Regarding ways UCEDD’s could support project  Completed our quarterly report to AIDD 6

7 Overview of Project Updates and Accomplishments  Survey Result Committee met in the morning via teleconference March 4, 2014 ◦ Discussed survey topic results ◦ Decided on 5 webinar topics 7

8 Overview of Project Updates and Accomplishments  Social Media committee met in he afternoon via teleconference March 4, 2014 ◦ Recommend Logo for Southern Collaborative States ◦ Decided on 5 Webinar dates ◦ Discussed Blogs ◦ Make recommendations for location and dates of next face to face 8

9  Identify and assist with the presentations for 5 Webinars on the regions top 5 needs  Each state will write 2 Blogs on selected issues ◦ One blog by May ( Arkansas will blog on employment and social security issues) ◦ 2 nd blog by August A Blog is sharing your personal opinions, activities and experiences on issue in your state 9

10  Complete 150 surveys by May, 2014 ◦ South Carolina and North Carolina have completed their surveys  Develop a work plan identifying goals, activities and timelines will be developed by the state with technical assistance from OCSS/SABE leaders and staff by August 2014 10

11  Each state will post on their state efforts and ask questions and share information 11

12  States will work with their membership and publicize 5 webinars in their state and other SABE events in their states  Webinars will address the top five topics that are identified by the survey 12

13  Discussed the results of Survey- PDF file: see attachment  Reviewed the Survey Committee Minutes March 4  Reviewed the Social Media and Webinar Committee Minutes March 4 13

14  Logo:  Vicki and Ellen will work on a draft of the logo that combines the state maps and the “Kutzu” theme from the Southern Collaborative earlier organizational efforts 14
