Why we are proposing an extension? *Provincial Legislation requires all public buildings to be accessible by 2025. *More space is required for an accessible washroom, Food Bank and storage. Taking Action Today for the Future 3

How was this determined? Taking Action Today for the Future 4 1)Based on Accessibility Survey: two washrooms (one would be accessible)

2) An expanded Food Bank area and church storage, a large & comfortable community meeting area, a choir storage area and a minister’s study that would be used for church meetings. Taking Action Today for the Future 5

Pledges have already been made by the Sunday School Committee for $3,200 The Pie People have pledged $30,000. We have already had offers of “in-kind” donations ie. dry walling & framing, painting. Taking Action Today for the Future 8

When is the right time to build with consideration to need and financial ability? Taking Action Today for the Future 13 *This floor plan meets the legislated accessibility requirements *two washrooms (one accessible) *dedicated space for storage *a confidential space for Food Bank, discreet access entrance *expanded and heated minister’s study *community space that can be rented

What’s next? *Obtain congregational support *Obtain front end money for the architectural drawings *Once drawings are done go to tender thus getting more accurate cost *Permits from City *Apply for grants Taking Action Today for the Future 14
