Units are fitted standard with head pressure control to deal with low ambient. Above 43Deg C high pressure setback prevents the unit tripping on high pressure so ensuring cooling. On the water side, chilled water from 16oC down to -10°C can be produced. The dual setpoint facility can be used to ones advantage by producing chilled water during the day, while making ice for storage during the evening off peak billing period. Depending on the capacities and models, the Daikin chillers are undergoing acrylic, black-epoxy or chromate treatment. This treatment significantly increases resistance to acid rain and saline corrosion. Typically in an acetic salt spray test at 1000hrs a bare aluminium coil has a 7,5% mass loss whereas the acrylic coated coil has about 4% mass loss. After a 1000hrs corrosion of the bare Al coil is accelerated. On request, Daikin can also provide extra corrosion protection options for special applications in harsh environmental conditions. Modbus: Max. 16 addresses BACnet: Max. 8 addresses Data exchange and communication between the chiller and the BMS is realized by CLICK the principle of “QUESTION” and “ANSWER”. The BMS sends out a question signal concerning a certain parameter, and the chiller replies with the proper answer. CLICK Among the exchanged information, we can find 2 kinds of parameters. READ ONLY parameters, such as temperatures, pressures, status, alarms. Then we also have the WRITABLE or CHANGEABLE parameters. These are for instance altering of the setpoints, changing of the operation mode for small chillers, start/stop circuits, … All together, with a 2 circuit large chiller, you can access up to more than 130 parameters.
