3 Type of economy: market economy. Definition of economy: an economy that focuses goods, resource, and prices. Success: international assistance with other countries. Struggle: one of the poorest countries in the world. Major Imports : capital goods, food, textiles, petroleum products. 5 Afghanistan Climate map Climate Regions: Mountainous Regions: Subartic Low Lands: Arid Vegetation: pine, cypress, oak, juniper, laurel, barberry, hazel, wild almond, tulips, petunias, sunflower, marigolds, honeysuckles, dahlias, geraniums. 8 Until the 1900s the only school availablewas at mosque schools which boys only went to. After the constitution in 1931 it made education available for all children. When the soviet occupation was going on out of the 1.57 million kids in the refugee camp less than 20% received formal education. Afghanistan hopes that by 2015 there is at least 13 million children attending school. Afghanistan school <---- Outside classroom Education

9 Buzkashi: A calf (goat) is thrown into the middle of an arena and at a signal the men must lift the calf onto their horse. Then men must travel three miles to point 1 and then ride back to where they found it to get 1 goal. Teams: In official games there are two team that consist of ten players each. Time Limit: It is an hour game with a ten minute break at halftime. Buzkashi (''grab the goat'') is the national sport Sports

10 Pahlwani: Pahlwani is just like wrestling but the rules are a little different. Rules: The wrestler may grab the arms and clothing of their opponent but they may not grab their legs. When one wrestler's shoulders are pinned to the ground the other opponent wins. <--- Pahlwani match Sports they also play: Soccer, Basketball, Field hockey, Tennis,Golf, Volleyball Sports
