5 “ Yet you, his son, Belshazzar, have not humbled your heart, even though you knew all this, 23 but you have exalted yourself against the Lord of heaven; and they have brought the vessels of His house before you, and you and your nobles, your wives and your concubines have been drinking wine from them; and you have praised the gods of silver and gold, of bronze, iron, wood and stone, which do not see, hear or understand. … ”

6 Daniel 5:22-31 “ …But the God in whose hand are your life-breath and your ways, you have not glorified. [24] "Then the hand was sent from Him and this inscription was written out. [25] "Now this is the inscription that was written out: 'MENE, MENE, TEKEL, UPHARSIN.' [26] "This is the interpretation of the message: 'MENE'— God has numbered your kingdom and put an end to it. … ”

7 Daniel 5:22-31 “ …[27] " 'TEKEL'—you have been weighed on the scales and found deficient. [28] " 'PERES'—your kingdom has been divided and given over to the Medes and Persians." [29] Then Belshazzar gave orders, and they clothed Daniel with purple and put a necklace of gold around his neck, and issued a proclamation concerning him that he now had authority as the third ruler in the kingdom. … ”

29 Promote Love among our Brethren God commands us to love one another fervently with a pure heart –1–1 Peter 1:22 “ Since you have in obedience to the truth purified your souls for a sincere love of the brethren, fervently love one another from the heart, ”

37 Promote Love among our Brethren One way to show love is to be alert to the needs of others. –O–Often, we do not see the needs of others because we are not alert; we do not notice when they have needs.

38 Promote Love among our Brethren May the Lord help us to increase and abound in love –1–1 Thessalonians 3:12-13

39 1 Thessalonians 3:12-13 “ and may the Lord cause you to increase and abound in love for one another, and for all people, just as we also do for you; [13] so that He may establish your hearts without blame in holiness before our God and Father at the coming of our Lord Jesus with all His saints. ”

40 Promote Love among our Brethren May the Lord help us to increase and abound in love –W–We should remember the love of Christ, and try to do likewise 1 John 3:16 “ We know love by this, that He laid down His life for us; and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren. ”
