7. Assumptions A new accreditation system for Kansas schools needs to reflect a broader approach to quality than AYP in reading and math. The focus will be on a transition to 21 st century standards and College and Career Ready Standards. Accreditation will be at the district level. Accreditation and Non-Accreditation and perhaps some other distinctions like Accredited through growth Accredited with distinction

9. Process QPA Advisory Council Work Rubrics for each R are being finalized. Field test will take place this school year. Pilot will take place next school year. Pilot schools will help determine how the system will function.
