5 Bentley LEAP Bridge

6 Bentley LEAP Bridge Is:
ONE fully-integrated application ONE seamless Geometry, Super and Sub Structure program ONE central application for data exchange ONE database – one or more bridges

7 Bridge Analysis & Design Software
GEOMATH (Parametric Bridge Geometry & Layout) CONSPAN (LFD & LRFD Simple & Cont. PS Beam Design) CONBOX (LFD & LRFD Post-Tensioned CIP Box Girder) RC-PIER (LFD & LRFD Integrated Pier Design) 7

8 ABC Wizard for Bridge Definition

9 ABC Wizard – Multiple Bridges

10 GEOMATH

11 GEOMATH GEOMATH is fully parametric keeping track of critical information pertinent to each project component. For example, changes made in an alignment, profile or superelevation are reflected in the final bridge model. Reports include geometric design information on abutments, pier caps pedestals, beam seats, deck contours, screed and final deck elevations at user-specified points along the span. Material quantities, including deck concrete, haunch build up and deck reinforcing are automatically calculated.

12 Geometry Modifications…e.g. Flared Girders

13 CONSPAN

14 CONSPAN LFD & LRFD Simple and Continuous Prestressed Beam Design
Library contains all standard AASHTO girders, bulb tees, box beams, double and single tee, rectangular beams, etc. and users can add customized cross- sections. Automatically calculates distribution factors, impact/dynamic allowance factors, allowable stresses, etc. Grillage-based option for computing more refined distribution factors for many geometry configurations.

16 CONSPAN Enhancements in V8i
Deck Rebar design (Phase 1 - Empirical Method) Support AASHTOWARE Virtis/Opis v6.0.0 Bug Fixes Pull (/Jacking Force) and CG method of defining strands GUI updates Updated spreadsheet-type controls in Analysis Tab Option to create user library of strand patterns 16

17 CONBOX

18 CONBOX LRFD and AASHTO Standard Design and Analysis of Cast-In- Place Post- Tensioned/Reinforced Concrete Box Girder and Cast in Place Concrete Slab Bridges You can design using one code and simply toggle to the other code for quick and complete design comparisons. This powerful feature makes your transition to LRFD quick, easy, and cost-effective

Shear Design Update Sections with less than minimum amount of shear reinforcement Auto Design Face of Support Optional critical section for design Allowable Stresses Terminology Consistent with AASHTO specs Load Combination Definitions Increased user control Minimum P-Jack, f’ci, f’c Effective web width Revision for LRFD-California option Automatic tendon definitions for hinged spans 20

21 RC-PIER

22 RC-PIER Design of reinforced concrete bridge substructures and foundations. Piers types are multi-column and hammerhead piers with straight, tapered or variable caps, and circular, rectangular (tapered and non-tapered) or drilled-shaft columns. Footing types include isolated or combined, supported on either soil or piles. Integrated design of cap, biaxial columns, and footings using LFD, LRFD or working stress methods. Strut-and-Tie (STM) modeling to obtain optimized structures.
