World Class Primaries Programme The advent of the new primary curriculum from September 2011 also provides an excellent mechanism to facilitate more collaborative working between schools, and the preparation for the introduction of the new curriculum will enable primary schools to think about the quality of their teaching and learning, and what expertise they need to deliver a broader curriculum. Collaborative working with other primary schools will enable the sharing of such expertise, the spreading of good practice and the more effective use of resources. Ed Balls 4 th December 2009
