Christmas are is an annual commemoration of the birth of Jesus Christ. The most Slovaks celebrate Christmas from evening on 24th December to 26th December. The 24th December is called Christmas Eve. The 25th December is celebrate as the birth of the Lord (Jesus Christ). The most common Slovak traditions and symbols: Decoration of Christmas tree The Christkind and Christmas gifts Traditional dinner Creation of Bethlehem An advent garland Singing of Christmas carols

Easter is the most important Christian festival and holiday celebrating the resurrection of Jesus Christ on the third day after his crucifixion at Calvary. The most common Slovak traditions and symbols: Decoration of Easter Eggs The Easter fleece as the symbol of Jesus Christ Easter whipping Crucifix as the symbol of crucifixion Fast lasting 40 days starting from Sunday of resurrection till Wednesday before Ascension day

All Saints' Day is a solemnity celebrated on 1 November by the Catholic Church. Slovaks commemorate all those who have attained the beatific vision in Heaven. The most common Slovak traditions and symbols: visiting the graves of deceased relatives taking flowers to the graves and lighting candles

A wedding is the ceremony where people are united in marriage. In Slovakia an official part of wedding is called „sobáš“. The most common Slovak traditions and symbols: during wedding ceremonies couples exchange wedding vows and wedding rings a bride wears a white wedding dress and veil wedding party starts after ceremony and last till the morning next day
