2012-'13 PLC Focus at the NEC Relentless Focus on Student Learning Collaborative inquiries to best teaching strategies, Collaborative reviews of student assessments and data, Commitment to continuous student improvement. Building Structure Program specific, PLC program meetings two times a month, PLC leadership training once a month.

Identify "core" 2010 MN Language Arts Standards that the NEC will focus on building-wide and program-wide, Create an Instructional Pacing Guide, per program, from the identified standards, Link the Instructional Pacing Guide to the learning materials we currently utilize. Summer Goals:

1st mtg. - Identify Core Standards 2 hour training, 2 hours work on your own/teams. Possible Dates: Wednesday, June 20th 12:15-2:15, Thursday, June 21, 12:15- 2:15, Thursday, June 28, 12:15-2:15 2nd mtg. - Create Instructional Pacing Guide 2 hour training, 2 hours work on your own/teams. Possible Dates: Monday, July 2nd 12:15-2:15, Tuesday, July 3rd, 12:15- 2:15, Monday, July 9th 12:15-2:15 3rd mtg. -Link Instructional Pacing Guide to Learning Materials 2 hours training, 2 hours work on your own/teams. Possible Dates: Monday, July 16, 12:15-2:15 Tuesday, July 17, 12:15 - 2:15 Linking our Schedules

MN Standards are based word for word on national Common Core Standards, Minnesota added Foundational Skills (K-5), Students must complete these standards by 2012- 2013, We'll dive in and show you how to efficiently navigate the document this summer. MN Common Core Standards Introduction

Pick a student to give the MCA, MCA- Modified or MTAS to. The assessment needs to be completed and given to us by June 9th. A lucrative incentive will be provided to your student. (Jitterbug coupon) 1 st Task
