Basic Indicators EXEMPLARY: for every subject, at least 90% of the tested students pass the test RECOGNIZED**: for every subject, at least 75% of the tested students pass the test ACADEMICALLY ACCEPTABLE: varies by subject Rdg: at least 70% of the tested students pass the test Wri: at least 70% of the tested students pass the test Math*: at least 55% of the tested students pass the test Sci*: at least 50% of the tested students pass the test **80% for 2010 *Add 5% for 2010

Student Groups Calculated Subject by Subject Reading: 3 rd grade + 4 th grade + 5 th grade Math: 3 rd grade + 4 th grade + 5 th grade Writing: 4 th grade Science: 5 th grade

RECOGNIZED 2009 Science: We had 27 African American Students and 27 Economically Disadvantaged students take the Science TAKS. We had 4 absent African American and 5 absent Economically Disadvantaged students on the day of the science TAKS

GOAL: EXEMPLARY 2010 Student Groups/Accountability Rating Based on the students enrolled as of snapshot date (October) 4 th grade With the amount of growth they’ve experienced they will probably make student groups for 2010 TAKS 5 th grade Depending on growth will depend on student groups

TPM: Texas Projection Measure Based on a vertical scale estimate of whether a child is likely to pass a TAKS in a future grade Campuses/districts may receive a higher rating by comparing the % meeting standard with TPM
