Introduction Curriculum Vitae: an outline of a person's educational and professional history, usually prepared for job applications. Another name for a CV is a résumé. 3

How to produce a good CV? Proof read! proof-reading for spelling, punctuation and other errors. Check, draft, re-draft and check again! Make sure it’s the best document you possess

How to produce a good CV? – Do’s Use a standard font size in black ink Include recent and relevant work experience (paid or voluntary) Keep it short (2 pages for recent graduates) Use positive action verbs such as ‘organized, delivered, accomplished, achieved’ Include a statement about your career aspirations and what you have to offer the employer (your objective!) Be honest, but positive Proof read and spell check

How to produce a good CV? – Don'ts Do it in a rush Leave gaps in employment Lie Include irrelevant personal details such as marital status Simply write a list of duties under work experience (remember you’re selling yourself!) Use flashy or large font
