3. Konichiwa! My name is Min and I live in Japan. I’m so excited because it is almost time for Christmas! Come with me and I’ll show you some of the Christmas traditions we have in Japan!

4. Here in Japan, our celebrations focus more on Santa Claus. We decorate our houses and we wait for him to deliver our presents on Christmas Eve!

5. We give gifts to people that we love. In fact, Christmas in Japan is sort of like a holiday you might know called Valentine’s Day. For grown- ups, Christmas is a romantic holiday!

6. It’s time to go pick up my favorite Christmas treat! Do you want to come with me into the bake shop?

7. Yummy! Look at this Christmas Cake! I can’t wait to eat it. A Christmas Cake is a delicious sponge cake with strawberries, whipped cream, and fun decorations!

8. Well, I have to take my Christmas Cake home and get ready for bed so Santa will come and bring me presents!

9. I hope that you will have a Merry Christmas, or in Japanese, a Merii Kurisumasu!
