2 Who are we Est. in 1982 Clinical Director – Prof David Snashall Team consists of approx 71 staff, (variety of roles and length of service) Services accessible to approx. 73,000 employees (NHS and commercial) Recent merger of Safety Advisory team Staff Counselling Services Rehabilitation services Support from –Commercial directorate –Infection Prevention and Control Team –Clinical Governance –Finance/IT

5 Preparation, Preparation, Preparation Full team involvement Meetings and opportunities Beyond the OH front door Allow plenty of time Talk to neighbouring OH units and colleagues in regional groups Share protocols Use the quality facilitator

6 Sourcing the Evidence What will demonstrate that you are doing this right? Enlist help of IT, Finance, HR. Consider what formats you want to use – does it need to be a policy? Can a flow chart or a statement provide evidence you need? There is a lot of information you could use so be selective If submitting a large Trust wide policy highlight the section which is relevant and you want the assessors to focus on.
