THESIS SUBMISSION DEADLINES Three important dates: December 15th April 15th August 15th

NOMINATION OF EXAMINERS WORKSHEET Worksheet is available on our departmental website Must be submitted four to six weeks prior to the expected date of initial thesis submission Reviewed by the department Student notified of which examiner has been secured Proposed external examiners are not to be contacted by student nor supervisor

NEW! INITIAL E-THESIS SUBMISSION As of September 16 th, 2013, initial thesis submission is electronic! PhD students may be required to provide the department with hard copies of their thesis for the Oral Defense.

EXAMINATION PROCESS Thesis Office allows a four week turn-around time for return of evaluator’s report MSc Examiners Reports are sent by e-mail to the student, supervisor(s) and department Student and supervisor(s) meet to make corrections for final e-thesis submission PhD students must also defend their thesis PhD Oral Defense date provisionally set, pending passage from the internal and external examiners

FINAL DEPOSITION It is highly recommended that you submit your e- thesis at least one week in advance of the deadline. This is to allow supervisors sufficient time to approve it by the deadline Theses students do not need to apply to graduate
