RAC/CP 4th NFP Meeting Barcelona 9 Dissemination, Promotion & Publications 2002 CTC took part in the following Educational Activities: A series of talks on Cleaner Production on Campus FM Radio A series of lectures to MBA students on Cleaner Production Concepts Lecture to B.Com students on Waste Management Environment Protection Supervision of theses with Environmental Themes of students from the Faculty of Economics, Management and Accountancy, European Documentation Research Centre, Institute of Small Island States Lectures to Diploma in Management students on Environmental Protection

RAC/CP 4th NFP Meeting Barcelona 10 Dissemination, Promotion & Publications 2002 CTC contributed written material for inclusion in: The Malta National Report for Johannesburg Dioxin emissions in EU candidate countries National Action Plan on Green House Gas Emission National Environmental Health Action Plan Regional Plan for reduction of hazardous waste in MAP countries State of Cleaner Production in the Mediterranean Action Plan

RAC/CP 4th NFP Meeting Barcelona 16 Barriers/Obstacles to Adoption of Cleaner Production Lack of Institutional Support – Environmental Protection Responsibility – Spread over several institutions – Lack of Focus CTC – Very limited resources both human and financial Non-availability of Trained Personnel/Technology Limitations Small Manufacturing Units – Fear of innovation and perceived high cost of Cleaner Production Too much emphasis on Production and Job Security
