18 KTE - Lessons Learned – Organizer’s Perspective  Access to Planner for Health Authorities  Health authorities found this very helpful  Peer to Peer Sessions  Fewer guest speakers & more time for discussion  Begin with: o Primer in health & the built environments o Primer on planning process & health communities o Primer on strategies employed by other health authorities  Face to Face Meetings  Do them early on so HCBD Members from different sectors & jurisdictions get to know each other sooner  Focus more on Partner’s Projects

19 KTE - Lessons Learned – Organizer’s Perspective  Local Stakeholders  Very useful to have a prominent speaker to draw an audience  Peer Plus Sessions  Very popular with decision-makers & members within partners  More sets of sessions targeting different audiences: for health, planning & transportation professionals  Social Media  E-Newsletters were welcomed; start earlier in the process  Articles on Website were welcomed by partners & broader community  Twitter was important for building website audience
