5 INSTRUCTION Visit the following links: Habitat for Humanity http://www.habitat.org/def ault.aspx Tiny Hands International http://www.tinyhandsintern ational.org/ Each of these organizations participate in global exchange; they provide help across the world. Research each and then find and record the following information: Name of organization. Purpose of organization. A brief description of one of the personal stories highlighted (each one has a section with personal stories). Give three reasons you think this organization has helped this individual Give three reasons you think this organization has not provided help to this individual Should this organization do something different in order to help more people? 7 EXTENSIONS Case Studies Research the Internet or go to the library and find specific case studies of individuals involved in some sort of global exchange. Report the same information you did for the in-class research. Habitat for Humanity Visit the Habitat for Humanity website and find out how many homes have been built in Tarrant County, Texas and the Southwest Region by Habitat for Humanity. Tiny Hands International Watch the movie “Taken” by Pierre Morel (2008) and write a summary of the story line. Find different movies that deal with human trafficking of any kind and report on the name of the movie, when it was released, and a brief summary of the story line.
