1. Environment-Recycling Poster Contest Regulations

2. The competition
The entrants to the competition should produce a poster which shows the importance of recycling in any global, national, local or personal context and how it affects or affect the lives of the contestants.
The poster may be created in any techniques, collages, drawings and other art work or graphics etc.

3. Participants
The contest is open to individuals and groups up to 4 students (Grades 5-9).

4. The entry process
The contest entry process is from December 1st 2013 till February 3rd 2014
Posters have to be handed in to Art teacher Dace Brasliņa
The winners of the poster contest will be announced on school website
The three best posters will be taken to the Comenius Project „Recycle today for a better tomorrow” meeting in Poland, in February 2014

5. Posters requirements
The submitted poster must meet all the requirements below:
The contestants should create posters to make aware other students and society about recycling and its importance.
The poster should have some research/informational background
The poster must not break the law or ethical rules and should not show a negative attitude towards the event or any person

6. Poster evaluation criteria
The final evaluation of the poster consists of the voting results and the evaluation given by the jury of the competition
The jury will evaluate the poster according to the following criteria:
the technical, artistic and ideological quality of the poster,
the content related aspects of the poster-originality of ideas, emotions, participants, result achieved

7. Announcement of the results
The results will be announced on by February 10th 2014 and winners will be notified personally

8. Prize
The best posters will be awarded prizes from school’s administration
The best 3 works will be participating in international students’ posters contest within Comenius Project „Recycle today for a better tomorrow” in February 2014, in Poland
