:Identify and analyze the parts of a Kentucky lesson plan
4
What are the components of a lesson plan? Includes: name, date, grade level, subject, and topic Learning Target – this clearly states your broad goals and specific objectives for learning (concepts, procedures, skills you want students to learn Core Content/Academic Expectations – Identify and explain how your objectives relate to Core Content for Assessment Materials – List materials that will be used during the lesson. Attach print material to be used with students (worksheets, open responses) Procedures – Describe the strategies and activities you will use to involve students and accomplish your objectives (group work, lab, lecture) – need to include review from the day before and a recap of the day’s lesson – most important part of the lesson Student Assessment – Clearly state how you will assess student progress. This will vary among school districts.

Develop a Standards Based Assessment
9
Objective 2: Develop a Standards Based assessment The test should contain 10 multiple choice test questions each question should have four possibilities each possibility should be similar in length do not include a response with the following phrases: all of the above, none of the above The test should contain an open response item. open response should have at least 3 parts they have to answer when answering students should put the letter or number of the part they are answering
10
The test should be aligned to state content standards including: KY Core Content in Science, Math, Reading, and Writing KY Occupational Skills Standards - Currently Agricultural Education is tested in three areas: Horticulture, Production Crop, Production Livestock. Agribusiness is currently being developed. Students that are completers in these areas (three or more classes with a B or higher in the class) can be register to take a Skills Standard test. If a student passes, they will receive 3 free hours of college credit at one of the state’s public universities – UK, WKU, Morehead State, Murray State, and EKU.

Activity Standards Based Assessment

Directions Using a unit from an agriculture class, develop a Standards Based assessment. Beside each question, list the Core Content Standard and/or KOSSA Standard. The test should consist of 10 multiple choice question and one open response question. The open response question should be based on a KOSSA released item in one of the agricultural education areas The Core Content Standards can be found at: http://www.kde.state.ky.us/KDE/ http://www.kde.state.ky.us/KDE/ Core Conent Core Cotent for Assessment Release Items Annotated to the DOK (provides examples of multiple choice questions) The KOSSA Standards can be found at: www.education.ky.gov/KDE/Instructional+Resources/Career+ and+Technical+Education/ Skills Standards and Assessments Skill Standard Documents Find Agriculture Area (Horticulture, Production Crop, and Production Livestock)
