SIPP = Standard Interline Passenger Procedures IATA recommended car industry specifications for car type coding for use between car rental suppliers and Global Distribution Systems. For example: Size Category Transmission Air Conditioning ECAR With Air Conditioning Automatic Transmission 2/4 Door Economy

3 April 2006Confidential and Proprietary3 Reasons for Enhancement Existing SIPP recommendations created several years ago—becoming outdated for makes and models available today. Industry-led effort to agree on new coding for car suppliers, global distribution systems and online booking sites. Enable additional content and more consistent categorization across suppliers. Enable agents to more easily shop and compare.

4 April 2006Confidential and Proprietary4 SIPP Code Expansion – Overview Global Enhancement –Supported in Apollo and Galileo –Available to agents and consumers –Focalpoint user access immediate after load date –All other applications require a release upgrade to utilize functionality Supplier Participation –Applicable to Inside Availability participants only –CarMaster Maintenance Database will not be enhanced to support new SIPP car type codes –Supplier implementation timelines will vary; some ready before others.

5 April 2006Confidential and Proprietary5 SIPP Code Expansion – Overview Car Type Matrix –Maintain existing 4 character format 1 st character defines size 2 nd character defines category 3 rd character defines transmission 4 th character defines whether vehicle has air conditioning or not –Enhance meaning of 3 rd character to add drive –Enhance meaning of 4 th character to add fuel/power source –Increase number of variations possible within each position of 4-character car type code.

6 April 2006Confidential and Proprietary6 SIPP Code Expansion – Overview Agent Search Qualifiers –Continue support for optional wildcard size + specific category search, e.g., *V = Any Size Van –Introduce new, optional pseudo car code search qualifier. Examples include: AHYB = Any Hybrid APUP = Any Pick-Up AEIG = Any eight passenger Van or SUV AFWD = Any 4-Wheel Drive or All Wheel Drive AGRN = All ‘green’ vehicles, e.g., Hybrid, Electric, LPG, Hydrogen and Multi-Fuel

Alternates –Apply when a specific category has been included in the request. –Identified beneath Alternate Car Type Header in supplier rate response

9 April 2006Confidential and Proprietary9 SIPP Code Expansion – Overview Mixed Rate Types Allowed –Remove Daily as the default rate type on multi-company response. –Supplier determines best rate type to return based upon pick-up and drop-off dates/times, e.g., Daily, Weekly, Weekend or Monthly. –Rate type indicator for each rate added to Availability response.

10 April 2006Confidential and Proprietary10 SIPP Code Expansion – Overview Enhance Rate Rules (CAV) Response –Enable supplier to return Maximum Seating Capacity and Maximum Pieces of Luggage Data applicable to car type/rate. Enhance Customer Itinerary –Enable the inclusion of the transmission/drive and fuel/power source on the customer itinerary.
