4 4  Jurisdictions consult with: ◦ Continuum of Care ◦ Public and private service agencies ◦ Publicly-funded institutions and systems of care that may discharge persons into homelessness ◦ Business and civic leaders  Promotes greater collaboration between ESG recipients and Continuums of Care ◦ Focus on planning, funding, implementing and evaluating homeless assistance and prevention programs locally

5 5  Consultation Process: ◦ Clark County consulted with HPRP Lead Agencies on Feb. 15, 2012 on ESG Written Standards ◦ Clark County consulted with CoC Evaluation Committee on Feb. 21, 2012 on written standards ◦ Clark County and City of Las Vegas ESG Provider Meeting on ESG changes and Amendment on Mar. 26, 2012 ◦ Clark County and City of Las Vegas participated in HomeBase workshops on performance standards development – Mar. 7 and Apr. 11, 2012

6 6  Continuum of Care Evaluation Committee – opportunity for public input on February 21, 2012  Public Hearing at Board of County Commissioners (BCC) on March 20, 2012  Posted on County website and available to public for 30-day comment period (only 15 days was required)  Public Hearing at BCC on April 17, 2012  Public Hearing at Las Vegas City Council on May 2, 2012  Public Hearing at CoH on May 10, 2012

7 7  Homelessness Prevention ◦ Emergency Aid of Boulder City$14,191 ◦ HELP of Southern Nevada$20,541 ◦ Lutheran Social Services$55,817  Rapid Re-Housing ◦ Nevada Community Associates$34,462 ESG Administration $32,897 Total $157,908

8 8  The City of Las Vegas’ second allocation of ESG funds for FY 11/12 is $126,267  HELP of Southern Nevada is receiving the entire allocation of phase II funding.  HELP will utilize funds for the following activities: ◦ Rapid Re-housing -60% $75,760 ◦ Homeless Prevention – 40% $50,507 $126,267

9 9  Held 1 st Public Hearing at May 2 nd City Council meeting. No comments were received.  As a part of our collaborative efforts the City is requesting Committee on Homeless support our funding allocation for the ESG Substantial Amendment to the FY 2011 Action Plan.
