St. Vincent De Paul Children’s Home – 160 students from infants to 16 years of age – Orphans because of gang warfare or natural disasters

Local Homelessness Franklin County Statistics – 8000 individuals experienced homelessness – Emergency Shelter System helped served over 5000 – 1400-1700 of them were children – 2/3’s were 7years or younger – “Some cities’ response to rising homelessness is simply to build more shelters, in Columbus, we rebuild lives.” – Prevention – Rapid Re-housing – Permanent Supportive Housing – Average rent per month in Franklin County – $30.00 contribution – goal of $300,000.00 – Ch. 10 update
