Direction & Control (continued) The configuration of your system depends on many factors.  Larger industries may: Have their own fire team, emergency medical technicians, or hazardous materials team, while smaller organizations may need to rely on mutual aid agreements. Be able to consolidate positions/combine responsibilities.  Tenants of office buildings or industrial parks may be part of an emergency management program for the entire facility.

Communications Communications are:  Essential to any business operation.  Needed to report emergencies, to warn personnel of the danger.  Keep families and off-duty employees informed about what's happening at the facility to coordinate response actions and keep in contact with customers and suppliers.
