2. And the LORD God formed man [of] the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being. (Gen 2: 7) و جبل الرب الاله ادم ترابا من الارض و نفخ في انفه نسمة حياة فصار ادم نفسا حية. (تك 2 : 7)

4. I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, so that you do not do the things that you wish. (Gal 5 : 16 - 17) و انما اقول اسلكوا بالروح فلا تكملوا شهوة الجسد. لان الجسد يشتهي ضد الروح و الروح ضد الجسد و هذان يقاوم احدهما الاخر حتى تفعلون ما لا تريدون. (غل 5 : 16 - 17)

5. الخطيئة الاولى The First Sin الخطيئة الاولى The First Sin و اوصى الرب الاله ادم قائلا من جميع شجر الجنة تاكل اكلا. و اما شجرة معرفة الخير و الشر فلا تاكل منها لانك يوم تاكل منها موتا تموت. (تك 2: 16 – 17) And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, "Of every tree of the garden you may freely eat; "but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die“. (Gen 2: 16- 17) و اوصى الرب الاله ادم قائلا من جميع شجر الجنة تاكل اكلا. و اما شجرة معرفة الخير و الشر فلا تاكل منها لانك يوم تاكل منها موتا تموت. 6. الخطيئة الاولى The First Sin الخطيئة الاولى The First Sin فرات المراة ان الشجرة جيدة للاكل و انها بهجة للعيون و ان الشجرة شهية للنظر فاخذت من ثمرها و اكلت و اعطت رجلها ايضا معها فاكل. (تك 3 : 6) So when the woman saw that the tree [was] good for food, that it [was] pleasant to the eyes, and a tree desirable to make [one] wise, she took of its fruit and ate. She also gave to her husband with her, and he ate. (Gen 3 : 6) فرات المراة ان الشجرة جيدة للاكل و انها بهجة للعيون و ان الشجرة شهية للنظر فاخذت من ثمرها و اكلت و اعطت رجلها ايضا معها فاكل. 7. الخطيئة الاولى The First Sin الخطيئة الاولى The First Sin فبعدما صام اربعين نهارا و اربعين ليلة جاع اخيرا. فتقدم اليه المجرب و قال له ان كنت ابن الله فقل ان تصير هذه الحجارة خبزا. And when He had fasted forty days and forty nights, afterward He was hungry. Now when the tempter came to Him, he said, "If You are the Son of God, command that these stones become bread“. فبعدما صام اربعين نهارا و اربعين ليلة جاع اخيرا. فتقدم اليه المجرب و قال له ان كنت ابن الله فقل ان تصير هذه الحجارة خبزا. And when He had fasted forty days and forty nights, afterward He was hungry. Now when the tempter came to Him, he said, "If You are the Son of God, command that these stones become bread“. العلاج The Remedy العلاج The Remedy

(مت 4 : 2 - 4) But He answered and said, "It is written, 'Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God' ".(Mat 4: 2- 4) فاجاب و قال مكتوب ليس بالخبز وحده يحيا الانسان بل بكل كلمة تخرج من فم الله. 9. الصوم: أولاً Fasting: First الصوم: أولاً Fasting: First حياة الروح A Living Spirit حياة الروح A Living Spirit = = خضوع لله Submission to God لانه ان عشتم حسب الجسد فستموتون و لكن ان كنتم بالروح تميتون اعمال الجسد فستحيون (رو 8 : 13) For if you live according to the flesh you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live (Rom 8 : 13) لانه ان عشتم حسب الجسد فستموتون و لكن ان كنتم بالروح تميتون اعمال الجسد فستحيون (رو 8 : 13) For if you live according to the flesh you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live (Rom 8 : 13)

13. الصوم: ثالثاً Fasting: Third الصوم: ثالثاً Fasting: Third و ان تدخل المساكين التائهين الى بيتك اذا رايت عريانا ان تكسوه و ان لا تتغاضى عن لحمك. (اش 58 : 6 - 7) And that you bring to your house the poor who are cast out; When you see the naked, that you cover him, And not hide yourself from your own flesh?. (Isa 58 : 6 - 7) و ان تدخل المساكين التائهين الى بيتك اذا رايت عريانا ان تكسوه و ان لا تتغاضى عن لحمك. 14. الصوم: رابعاً Fasting: Fourth الصوم: رابعاً Fasting: Fourth صعود للسما Rising to Heaven صعود للسما Rising to Heaven و كان تلاميذ يوحنا و الفريسيين يصومون فجاءوا و قالوا له لماذا يصوم تلاميذ يوحنا و الفريسيين و اما تلاميذك فلا يصومون. فقال لهم يسوع هل يستطيع بنو العرس ان يصوموا و العريس معهم The disciples of John and of the Pharisees were fasting. Then they came and said to Him, "Why do the disciples of John and of the Pharisees fast, but Your disciples do not fast?“. And Jesus said to them, "Can the friends of the bridegroom fast while the bridegroom is with them? و كان تلاميذ يوحنا و الفريسيين يصومون فجاءوا و قالوا له لماذا يصوم تلاميذ يوحنا و الفريسيين و اما تلاميذك فلا يصومون. فقال لهم يسوع هل يستطيع بنو العرس ان يصوموا و العريس معهم The disciples of John and of the Pharisees were fasting. Then they came and said to Him, "Why do the disciples of John and of the Pharisees fast, but Your disciples do not fast?“. And Jesus said to them, "Can the friends of the bridegroom fast while the bridegroom is with them?

15. الصوم: رابعاً Fasting: Fourth الصوم: رابعاً Fasting: Fourth صعود للسما Rising to Heaven صعود للسما Rising to Heaven ما دام العريس معهم لا يستطيعون ان يصوموا. و لكن ستاتي ايام حين يرفع العريس عنهم فحينئذ يصومون في تلك الايام. (مر 2: 18 – 20) As long as they have the bridegroom with them they cannot fast. "But the days will come when the bridegroom will be taken away from them, and then they will fast in those days. (Mark 2 : 18 – 20) ما دام العريس معهم لا يستطيعون ان يصوموا. و لكن ستاتي ايام حين يرفع العريس عنهم فحينئذ يصومون في تلك الايام. (مر 2: 18 – 20) As long as they have the bridegroom with them they cannot fast. "But the days will come when the bridegroom will be taken away from them, and then they will fast in those days. (Mark 2 : 18 – 20)

16. الصوم: خامساً Fasting: Fifth الصوم: خامساً Fasting: Fifth و لكن ستاتي ايام حين يرفع العريس عنهم فحينئذ يصومون في تلك الايام. ليس احد يخيط رقعة من قطعة جديدة على ثوب عتيق و الا فالملء الجديد ياخذ من العتيق فيصير الخرق اردا. "But the days will come when the bridegroom will be taken away from them, and then they will fast in those days. "No one sews a piece of unshrunk cloth on an old garment; or else the new piece pulls away from the old, and the tear is made worse. و لكن ستاتي ايام حين يرفع العريس عنهم فحينئذ يصومون في تلك الايام. ليس احد يخيط رقعة من قطعة جديدة على ثوب عتيق و الا فالملء الجديد ياخذ من العتيق فيصير الخرق اردا. "But the days will come when the bridegroom will be taken away from them, and then they will fast in those days. 17. الصوم: خامساً Fasting: Fifth الصوم: خامساً Fasting: Fifth ثبات الطبيعة الجديدة Stability of the New Nature ثبات الطبيعة الجديدة Stability of the New Nature و ليس احد يجعل خمرا جديدة في زقاق عتيقة لئلا تشق الخمر الجديدة الزقاق فالخمر تنصب و الزقاق تتلف بل يجعلون خمرا جديدة في زقاق جديدة. (مر 2: 20 – 22) "And no one puts new wine into old wineskins; or else the new wine bursts the wineskins, the wine is spilled, and the wineskins are ruined. But new wine must be put into new wineskins“. (Mark 2 : 20 – 22) و ليس احد يجعل خمرا جديدة في زقاق عتيقة لئلا تشق الخمر الجديدة الزقاق فالخمر تنصب و الزقاق تتلف بل يجعلون خمرا جديدة في زقاق جديدة. (مر 2: 20 – 22) "And no one puts new wine into old wineskins; or else the new wine bursts the wineskins, the wine is spilled, and the wineskins are ruined. But new wine must be put into new wineskins“. (Mark 2 : 20 – 22)

21. أيها السيد الرب الاله ضابط الكل الذي أرسل ابنه الوحيد الى العالم، وعلمنا الناموس والوصايا المكتوبة في الإنجيل المقدس. وعلمنا أن الصوم والصلاة هما اللذان يخرجان الشياطين، إذ قال أن هذا الجنس لا يخرج بشىء الا بالصلاة والصوم. الصوم والصلاة هما اللذان رفعا ايليا الى السماء، وخلصا دانيال من جب الاسود. Master and Lord, God Almighty Who sent His Only- Begotten Son to the world; He taught us the law and the commandments written in the Holy Bible; and taught us that fasting and prayer cast out devils, as He said; “this kind cannot come out by anything, except by prayer and fasting.” Fasting and prayer are those which raised Elijah to heaven and saved Daniel from the lions’ den. 22. الصوم والصلاة هما اللذان عمل بهما موسى، حتى أخذ الوصايا والناموس المكتوبة بإصبع الله. الصوم والصلاة هما اللذان عمل بهما أهل نينوى، فرحمهم الله وغفر لهم خطاياهم ورفع غضبه عنهم. الصوم والصلاة هما اللذان عمل بهما الأنبياء، وتنبأوا من أجل مجيءالمسيح قبل مجيئه بأجيال كثيرة. Fasting and prayer are those which Moses pursued, until he received the Law and the Commandments written with the Finger of God. Fasting and prayer are those which the people of Nineveh pursued, so God had mercy upon them and forgave them their sins and lifted His wrath away from them. Fasting and prayer are those which the prophets pursued, and prophesied concerning the advent of Christ many generations before His coming.

23. الصوم والصلاه هما اللذان عمل بهما الرسل، وبشروا في جميع الامم وصيروهم مسيحيين، وعمدوهم باسم الآب والابن والروح القدس. الصوم والصلاة هما اللذان عمل بهما الشهداء، حتى سفكوا دماءهم من أجل اسم المسيح، الذي إعترف الإعتراف الحسن أمام بيلاطس البنطي. الصوم والصلاه هما اللذان عمل بهما الرسل، وبشروا في جميع الامم وصيروهم مسيحيين، وعمدوهم باسم الآب والابن والروح القدس. الصوم والصلاة هما اللذان عمل بهما الشهداء، حتى سفكوا دماءهم من أجل اسم المسيح، الذي إعترف الإعتراف الحسن أمام بيلاطس البنطي. Fasting and prayer are those which the Apostles pursued, and they preached to all nations and made them Christians, and baptized them in the Name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Fasting and prayer are those which the Martyrs pursued, until they shed their blood in the Name of Christ, Who witnessed the good confession before Pontius Pilate. Fasting and prayer are those which the Apostles pursued, and they preached to all nations and made them Christians, and baptized them in the Name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Fasting and prayer are those which the righteous, the just, and the cross-bearers pursued, and dwelt in the mountains, deserts, and holes of the earth, because of their great love for Christ the King. And we, too, let us fast from all evil, in purity and righteousness; and let us proceed forth to this holy sacrifice, and partake of it with thanksgiving.
