2. Task Candidates should compose a short piece called contrasts to be played in class. It should play with the contrast of the two blocks of material (arranged ABA) with changes in tempo, texture and dynamics

3. Check list Section A  Even phrases e.g 4+4+4+4  Phrases ending with cadences?  16 bars long?  Time Signature 4/4, 3/4 or ?  Key Signature = C, G, F or ?  Accompaniment? – Block chords, Alberti Bass, etc….  Duration = Rhythm?  Written for Piano/Keyboard and/or ?

4. B Section Even phrases? 16 bars long? Time Signature changed? Modulation = Key Signature changed? Texture changed? Tempo changed? Dynamics changed? Duration changed?

5. A Section How has it changed from the first section? Added extra notes? Counter melody? Any other ideas?
