The captain had promised him a crocodile-skin suitcase if René won a match that was important for their team. His nickname highlighted his tenacity on the tennis courts, never giving up his prey! A friend of him, Robert George, drew him a crocodile which was embroidered on the blazer that he wore on the courts.”
