PERFECT TIES Family is the FIRST school of formation each of us goes through, whether we like it or not.

A GENOGRAM is a format for drawing a family tree that records information about family members and their relationships over at least 3 generations.

A GENOGRAM is an instrument to know more about the family through The use of a diagram Showing the different feelings of the members of the family and how they are related

What things in the FAMILY are looked into: Action: ways of facing or avoiding experiences Emotional: unresolved grief, experiences that brought great pain Beliefs: rules in the family, rituals, family secrets, etc.

PERSONAL ISSUES a. “Wounds”/delicate pasts/aspect of personhood 1. weakness 2. failures 3. experiences that brought great pain 4. unresolved issues: grief, loss, acceptance, identity 5. lack of knowledge: relationships, child- rearing, vulnerability/openness

b. Issues that are reasons non-acceptance or denial 1. denial and wrong opinions 2. unresolved conflicts –loss, anger, resentment
