A Short Narrative “A Lover Lives to Leap Again” talks about how a little girl by the name of Wenonah, which means “firstborn daughter”, was so attractive to all the men. Her father was Osseo, a powerful elder who governed a vast and rich domain in which corn, fruit, and game were all abundant.

Cont. Her father finally let he receive suitors and had accepted the fact that she was ready to get married. A large amount of men and even much older ones rushed in to offer to be Wenonah’s husband.

The Ending Wenonah and her father finally decided that Kwasind, a singer who had traveled many miles to perform for Wenonah, should be her husband. It ended up that Kwasind was already married and he had left his wife in a distant valley. Wenonah was really upset because she really thought he was the one for her. She sobbed and prayed to the Gods. The Gods then returned her husband from the exact spot that he has fallen.
