7. WHY LOGISTICS?  Melbourne is central to 70% of Australia’s population  Massive infrastructure in warehousing and distribution  Logistics task will double in the next 15 years and quadruple by 2033  The Australian Economy needs a powerful Victorian Logistics Industry

FUTURE FORCE Priorities  Attract school graduates to office-based careers within Local and Multi-National Logistics Companies  Education on-the-job to Certificate IV  At an appropriate career point, deliver Advanced Diploma, on-the-job.  Encourage Degree studies for those keen and capable to go forward

9. Results so far?  Almost 300 Year12 graduates now qualified to Certificate III-IV level and working in over 90 Logistics companies, large and small.  100% retention by Host Companies on graduation from our programs  As a result, the immediate future of the Industry is much more secure

10. NEXT STEPS?  Continue with office-based push.  Promote hands-on Warehousing and Distribution roles  Expand beyond current host companies to Road, Rail and related industries
