Universities and employers welcome opportunity to co-develop programmes ►Universities and employers already engaged ►This builds on foundation and higher level programmes that exist with FE colleges, employers and sector skills councils ►Aston ►Middlesex ►Need partners that talk the same language ►Progression articulated

Challenge is the perception among young people, parents, employers and schools of the value of Apprenticeships as an alternative to a university education? as a legitimate alternative to traditional university Higher Education? ►Partnership with the media for Single messaging from BIS and DfE, Schools, FE Colleges, Universities and Employers to parents and young people. ►All education and training providers also need the same messages for key staff in TDA, Teach first and others involved in training teachers

Government could encourage greater flexibility for learners to move between school, FE, work-based apprenticeships and degree ‐ study? ►Mandatory apprenticeship units – level 2/3 ►School with an apprenticeship (University Technical Colleges or FE) ►FE apprenticeship ►Work sponsored degree ►Common Framework ►Need flexibility in the Apprenticeship Frameworks
