1.  Beowulf’s King, Higlac, sent Beowulf to help Hrothgar.  Beowulf is able to defeat Grendel without weapons.  Beowulf makes Herot Hall safe again.  When he fights the dragon, Beowulf needs help from his loyal follower Wiglaf.
