7 www.councils.org Industry – Education Partnership Education/Sector Council Partnerships Project (ESCPP) A Pilot project to partner sector councils and their employer networks with selected schools in the Toronto District School Board (TDSB) Four year project just wrapped up Focus on: experiential learning, industry relevant essential skills, apprenticeship planning, school-to- work transitions

8 www.councils.org TASC Working Group on Education National sector councils interested to work with education across Canada Explore how sector council resources, labour market information and connections to employers could support educators and students Support student’s exposure to a wide variety of industries, occupations and the skills needed Enhance connections between classroom learning and how this skills and knowledge are applied in the workplace

10 www.councils.org How it Worked TASC’s Working Group on Education was the advisory committee for the pilot project with the TDSB The lessons learned from the pilot, the partnership networks, learning activities, experiential opportunities, certification opportunities, etc., provide a foundation to build on
