Discuss the push and pull factors you noticed in the video clips of Hawaii and Antarctica. Where would you like to live? Why? Where would you NOT like to live? Why not?

21 What do you remember about Hurricane Ike that hit Texas in 2008?
Warm Up: Category 2 hurricane. Storm surge that is as high as 20 feet. In Gilchrist, all but one house is destroyed by the storm surge. The storm also caused heavy rains where it made landfall, peaking at 18.9 inches. At one point, the storm knocked out power to as many as an estimated 2.6 million people. Ike is the one of most destructive hurricanes to ever hit Texas and one of the deadliest, causing $19.3 billion in damages and killing 84 people. What do you remember about Hurricane Ike that hit Texas in 2008?
