Industry-Academia Partnerships and Pathways (IAPP) Minimum configuration is a university and company (one in Ireland, one abroad) Funds staff exchange of –early stage (PhD) –experienced researchers (Postdocs) –Technical –Research managerial Also funds hiring of additional staff (experienced researchers)

9. Foster co-operation between non-commercial research organisations & commercial enterprises based on joint research projects. Stimulate long-term collaboration between sectors through secondment of researchers between the public & private research domains. 19. Industry-Academia Partnerships and Pathways (IAPP) Slow start in 2007… not a single successful proposal with Irish participation. Increased interest (and success!!) in 2008. 6 out of 9 Irish proposals funded. Only two of the seven universities involved in IAPPs.
