Stream Quality Analysis Problem Based Learning Module Kerry Hartman Fort Berthold Community College

Overall Goal 1: Participants will apply problem- based learning to a real life situation (i.e., water quality). Overall Goal 2: Participants will learn water quality standards and data interpretation.

Learning Objectives Objective 1: Participants will become familiar with problem-based learning methodologies and processes. Lesson Plan Data Collection-If instructor has access to recent, reliable water quality data regarding local surface water, data is introduced and briefly explained to students including sampling sites, testing methodologies, times, seasonal variations, and possible outliers.
