Organizing teaching and facilities Mode of operations values, view of learning, pedagogical leadership planning education and resource-allocation co-operation networks and their functions participating in studies of another educational institute offering studies from your own educational institute to students coming from other units computers and other equipment, network connections support services

Pedagogy and teaching methods Premise is to offer meaninful and purposeful education for the student –What sort of learning are we aiming for? –Why are the studies taken to the net? –What is the added value to the student? flexible learning possibilities equalizes teaching support to different way of learning (focusing, repeating, animation...)

Abilities of teachers –at least basic computing skills –building the learning environment - assignments - doesn’t include creating the actual learning materials –pedagogical skills - the central assignment of the teacher is to guide the learning process

Financial resources Finnish Government´s Funding ~ 6900 € per student Payable to the educational unit with which the student is registered Of which distribution of expences is the following ~ 60 % educational unit offering network based learning ~ 40 % student´s educational unit
