First you have to know how to search! Search Modes Under Search Options, the search modes offer four different ways to conduct a search. You can combine a search with expanders such as Apply related words, or with limiters such as Full Text or Publication Type. Select from: Boolean/Phrase Find all of my search terms Find any of my search terms SmartText Searching

Basic Search Options This basic search allows you to use Boolean operators and search words and terms. Most journals and articles can be obtained through the basic search.

Lets get Results!! This result page includes the material that searched on the home page and offer articles for that selection.

Search History If you want to keep track of all of the material you’ve been searching go to search history on the home page and results page!

Wild Card

WILD CARD Use the wildcard and truncation symbols to create searches where there are unknown characters, multiple spellings or various endings. Neither the wildcard nor the truncation symbol can be used as the first character in a search term. The wildcard is represented by a question mark ?. To use the wildcard, enter your search terms and replace each unknown character with a ?. The database finds all citations of that word with the ? replaced by a letter. Truncation is represented by an asterisk (*). To use truncation, enter the root of a search term and replace the ending with an * the database finds all forms of that word.
