TV Data Capacity DTV stations have 19.39 mbps capacity Bits not used for video may be used for IP traffic HD requires 12-13 mbps, SD 3-4 mbps ATSC standard problematic but improving (currently best for NRT applications) Analog TV has datacasting capacity as well (3-4 mbps)

Wi-Fi/802.11b Wireless Provides access to IP streams and file transfers Office and home networks increasingly popular Provides broadband services in competition to DSL and cable modems Guerilla or community wireless Security issues may limit access
