Risk Assessment: Sports Illustrated Study Criminal background checks on 2837 football players on rosters of SI 2010 preseason top 25: 7% had been in legal trouble prior to entering college. 40% of charges were for serious crimes.

The Good News Most people are good people and would never commit an act of violence. Most college athletes and college students drink moderately and responsibly. Most college men are offended by other men’s sexism. The attitude we want is already there for most people.
