What Is A Historically Underutilized Business (HUB)? A Texas business that is a minimum of 51% owned & operated by a minority or woman who is a Texas resident & U.S. citizen. Black, Hispanic, American Indian, Asian Indian, Asian Pacific, or Woman. HUB PROGRAM OVERVIEW Business Affairs and Controller

HUB PROGRAM OVERVIEW Why Is The Program Important To UT Arlington? State Law requires UT Arlington to make a “good faith effort” to include HUBs in all purchases. UT Arlington must report use to the state. Top 25 agencies/universities are recognized. Business Affairs and Controller

Why Is The Program Important To My Department? Every purchase impacts the University’s performance. Credit Card purchases are 10% of University expenditures. Departments make purchasing decisions up to $5,000 dollars. HUB PROGRAM OVERVIEW Business Affairs and Controller
